Now I know everyone has seen this disturbing video of a family in Kennesaw basically disowning there son for being gay. Then attacking him. Just watch the video

I saw the video...that kid also has a gofundme page to where he's made over 90k from people giving him donations. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Caught this on the front page.

Disturbing to say the least. What gets me is he still "loves each and everyone of them." I don't get that. He was beat up, suffered verbal abuse, and they took his college text books away.
I, too, had an abusive childhood and for a long time I distanced myself from my parents. Situation was a lot different (I am not gay) but still. He should have saw this was coming and moved out way before it got to that point.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link because of the language and fundraising but it was easy to find.

This shows how hatred for gays is ingrained in some people...some of the ignorant things that are said in the video are unfortunately pretty commonly held beliefs for a certain percentage of the population, but I think the tide is turning fairly quickly at the moment. This is a very sad situation for this guy, but he'll hopefully come out of it stronger than ever and maybe there is hope for a reconciliation after the anger and shock die down. I really feel for him.

I saw the video yesterday, but did not know it was here in GA. I must have missed that part.

Situations like these can be a gay kid's worst nightmare. It hurts to watch that. But you can choose a new family. And a great thing for him is that he lives near one of the most gay friendly cities in the country. I want to believe he'll land on his feet.
