I have never, once, heard Kirkwood called little Mexico. I have never ever seen a Mexican in Kirkwood(unless they may be "white" Mexicans).

There's absolutely nothing "Mexican" about the place. I don't even think it has a Mexican restaurant. Maybe it's those hipster kids being ironic.

LOL, that's the dumbest crap I've ever seen. They are trying to make Kirkwood and EAV seem hood? Heh, maybe about 10 years ago.

I don't know how they managed to keep all the yuppies with baby strollers out of all those scenes.

"You can't just walk in this hood."

BWAHAHAHA!

Guillerimo *ahem* I meant Maceo is half Mexican, perhaps that's why he called it Mexico City. Otherwise he's a clown, he's not even from Kirkwood or even East Atlanta. He's from waaay down Moreland in Conley.

Maybe someone should make a video about what Kirkwood and EAV is really like and call them out...

I first heard the phrase from kids who are fans of Future. I just think they are trying to say Kirkwood is wild and teeming with drug cartels like the real Mexico... (Similar to "Lil' Vietnam" for East Lake Meadows)

Remember, the stuff you see on TV, etc. is just sellout shuckin' and jivin'.... This is not a true representation of hip-hop culture. It exists, and can be quite edifying, but unless you are really looking for it, all the masses (of all races) are shown is black people who have sold their souls for money.

Think of it as a modern day minstrel show and not a true representation of black "culture".
