I'd say 1987-1997, but that's just me.

You don't have to listen. If they announce 4 country music stations were launching I wouldn't be mad since I can always change the station. I dont have to listen. You should be happy because it will help our economy.

"ATLANTA, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Georgia Film, Video & Music Office today announced the results of a recent study on the economic impact of the commercial music industry in Georgia. Findings revealed that the music industry in the Peach State generates more than $385 million annually, creating approximately 3,500 jobs and generating more than $16 million in tax revenues."

There better be some D.I.T.C, C.O.C, Masta Ace, and AZ on these stations. It would be nice to hear Busta Rhyme's old stuff again too.

Edit: Of course today's youth need to hear all of Big L's lyrical content.

So, how many Hip Hop stations does that make it for Atlanta???

And exactly what are they all?

Sounds good to me, depending if at least one of them is some GOOD Hip Hop or some real hip hop...
Not the crap that gets all the radio play on most stations these days...

Are ANY stations that play the other music that doesn't get heard as often??? How about some Cozz, some Joel Ortiz, some Slaughterhouse, some Black Hippy, some Underground Atlanta artists, some Tink, some Joey Bada$$, some OFWGKTA, some Flying Lotus, some Cyhi da Prince, some Chance the Rapper... How about a station that gives some of them and others some radio play besides the same old crap we hear all the time like Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug and Iggy Azalea on rotation no matter what (hip hop) station you turn to...?????

Think I found my answer... someone tell me if I'm wrong about any

V-103.3
Hot 107.9
Streetz 94.5
Boom 102.9
OG 97.9
Old School 99.3

Can someone verify? And please explain the differences with all 6 of these?
I hope they don't all play the same ol artists in rotation... I'm assuming Old School is old school hip hop (as in 80s/early 90s)?

(I don't know cause I don't listen to the radio anymore. But I probably will give the new stations a chance).

You can also add Magic 97.5 and 89.3 late at night.

V-103. .. Old/New school Hip hop and R&b

107.9 Street Hip Hop

94.5...Street hip hop/Breaking new records

3 new stations. ..80s 90s classic hip hop, R&B

89.3....at night on the weekend they play lyrical underground NYC type Hip hop

97.5 ....80s 90s R&B

Atlanta never let's me down. I been complaining about radio for a few years so I would just listen to Kday in LA online. It's the west coast version of our 3 new stations. Then we are blessed with 3 new stations that caters to the music I grew up on. That was one of the few things Atlanta was missing and now we got 3 stations.

FYI...if you live about 10 mins OTP the signal for some of these stations get weak

I believe Boom 102.9 is my favorite station now, I listen to V103 previously for their old school joints but they were just occasional and they play to much new pop rap & rb music. Been waiting on a station like Boom for so long, it's awesome!
