I will NEVER hear a song like this on ANY radio station in Atlanta.

I did mess around and found 933 on the dial by accident they was playing Dre Day from the Chronic...I was like...wait what is this!!! I had to lock the channel in. I also see Streetz is doing their version of SummerJam Birthday Bash called Streetfest lol. Atlanta man....I definitely want to hear more of that eastcoast westcoast stuff of the 90s.

On my Hip Hop Tombstone it would say

1982-2003 everything after Flash Bambaadaa and everything before 50 Cent Solja Boy. Things changed after 50s first album. Weasel rap took over in the south. New York feel off and the Westcoast started sounding like the weasels out here in Atlanta. My age may have something to do with it as well, but do I have some fun memories of the hip hop from the 80s and 90s

You sure about that? I thought all radio stations (terrestrial, Internet, satellite, etc.) have to pay ASCAP fees to play music.

The Golden Age for me is from 92-1999 (2000-2005 wasn't bad.) The Hot Boyz change the entire game. They were the first to overtly talk about how much this and that they have and everyone else followed suit.

I hear Big KRIT on the radio, on V-103, but nobody else.

Most 18-34 age group targetted urban formatted radio stations only stick to the Billboard top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop charted songs with a few local flavors here and there. Aside from V-103, 95.7 Jamz in Birmingham, and 99 Jams in Jackson, Mississippi (KRIT is originally from MS), most urban stations tend to not pay much play to Big KRIT.

Listen to 89.3 from 3 - 6am for underground lyrical hip hop on Friday nights. Also check out the show called "Beatz and Lyrics" that comes on at 10pm on Saturdays on the same station
