It gets busy during the day, even on weekdays. A lot of tourists ride it. GSU students sometimes ride it. Weekends are where you get the tourist hordes. Remember, this is pre-fee though.

I don't like the stop either, but they do it to prevent bunching along Edgewood. You ask very good questions that should be directed to the streetcar PR people.

Thanks, Ant and cq.

I hope it is a success, since we have sunk a lot of money into it. I guess they will be releasing new ridership numbers soon.

Not that much compared to road network expansion.

Mayor Reed just announced that the streetcar will remain free for riders through the end of 2015.

Only if you pay property taxes in CoA. If not, then this is no concern of yours. I think it's a great idea, but it's also because not all the breezecard machines are installed and configured. Also, give them and MARTA time to coordinate the fare structure.

I am indifferent on the lack of fares for now. They really need to get the next phase going. Then just make it distance based fares that tie into MARTA.

Made the journey from Buckhead to Edgewood Ave (via Peachtree Center) last Thursday rush hour using MARTA and the Streetcar, would have been SUPER quick but for the 13 minute halt at Centennial Olympic Park Station.

If this is gonna be taken seriously they really need to reduce that nonsense, especially at the height of rush hour.

Still beat my workmates that decided to drive by at least 10 mins though.

Nice. Though you should have walked the block to the Park Place stop and beat them by 20 mins!

But I agree about the 13 min stop and Centennial needs to go away. (And sync the lights, give the streetcar dedicated ROW in more places, and get the next phase expansion going!).
