Looking for some mortgage help - being told from a friend in the business that credit unions and small "home town" banks are being more aggressive than larger names and/or federal programs.

Anyone have experience here and any suggestions? I need a program that can help me with a foreclosure a few years ago (conventional not an option, its only been 2 years). Been researching "Back to Work" program, but that same friend told me that credit unions can accomplish the same with better terms.

Whatcha know?

Try Georgia's Own or Delta Credit Union.

Unsure of any small banks in Atlanta since many of them had been purchased in the last few years.
