Police hunt suspects after two officers gunned down - CNN.com

Mall shootings, drugs, prostitution...all the things characteristic of a grimy area of the city.

FYI: This complex is right off of 285 on Glenwood, exit before/after Covington highway.

What a completely sad world we live in when someone will take out police like that.

That is a pretty scary area and I have first time homebuyers I'm working with that want to live in that area, I never get out of my car to look at houses until they are there with me. That area gives me the creeps.

How very sad, those guys were making extra money patrolling this complex and were gunned down. The police are looking for them, I wonder if they will be found alive.

Hopefully not- I'd prefer if we didn't waste alot of taxpayer money defending these scumbags thru trial and then letting them earn college degrees in jail- a few $0.50 bullets through the head would be perfect.

Thanks, I was trying to find a way to voice that without being reported!

Just let them get spotted over here in Snellville and you'll see some vigilante justice being served up.

What a terrible, terrible crime. I can only hope that the "no snitching" code that depressingly seems to permeate many high crime communities in Atlanta doesn't hold here. If the community cannot come together to help find the killers and put them away, then they don't deserve police protection.

I agree this is terrible, but I think its unfair to judge people who don't "snitch" by saying they do not deserve police protection. Such people are , most likely, keeping quiet because criminals intimidate them. I am very curious as to how many of you would testify against someone knowing it would put the life of you and your family in serious danger.

I do not know how many witnesses there could be considering it was very late on a cold night in a "ghetto ass" complex.

But as you can see from the yellow markers on the ground in this gallery, there had to be over 30 shots fired!

Look how much of the taxpayer's money has been wasted on Brian Nichols. Why? Is there some doubt that he is guilty?

I'm still trying to figure that one out myself- I guess a 1/2 dozen security cams catching him doing it, over 300 witnesses, and apprehending him in the hostage's apartment, isn't enough?? They're predicting that the trial will cost over $5 million- too bad one of the officers at the place he was captured didn't "see his try to draw a weapon" and put a few dozen rounds in him. Oops.......
