Its not, I believe it's scheduled for May.

The Proctor Creek Trail is open. The wife and I took a nice stroll a few days ago, it was awesome. Not too many people but at times like this that's what I prefer. Highly recommend.

Do be careful here. I've been twice. One of the times, a car out front was broken into with the entire rear window smashed out (I managed to find the owners on the trail), and there were some sketchy looking people lurking along the sides of the trail. This was many months ago, so it may be a little better now.

Progress update. It's going to be interesting to see if they open the park on time and allow people in with what's going on. With not many places to go, this might see a lot of foot traffic(if open).

Man, you sure don't want to slip on the bank of that lake. One misstep and it's 150 feet straight down!

How long will it take to fill the quarry?

Thought you'd taken a job over in East Georgia (Alabama)? If so, Weiss Lake, Coosa River and Lake Martin (prolly too much motor traffic), or Tallapoosa River might be options for you.

We headed over there, too.

1) Being B&R in the area, we had a crazy amount of shock about not knowing this physical space (prior to development) was right around the corner. Then we giggled about it. And giggled harder that we might be able to enjoy it by the time we're 50, and giggled about our kids reaping the best of it. The forestry we knew about, but the density we did not. So being able to walk through cuts of it was pretty amazing! Most people socially distanced, but we did see two motorized vehicles.

2) I really do hope that the phase 1 version of Quarry Yards will have restaurants that optimize en plein air dining. They have the space until they don't. I know there are mockups, etc., but plans change.

3) It was a very pleasant walk! Car was undisturbed, and next time we'll just bike there.

I should say that the lake was still closed from the public as of 5/17. Understandable–COVID/Economy, etc.
