New 'inland port' to reduce Atlanta truck traffic

I understand what you're saying, but when we look at recent trends this has been picking up.

This has been particularly strong in the southeast where manufacturing is in an uptick.

NS just built a large, fairly successful intermodal terminal in Austell a few years back. The demand seems to be working in its favor right now and if we mix that with it being a port facility that can help clear red-tape for the containers, I think it will do well.

South Carolina built a similar facility and manufacturing growth in upstate South Carolina has been strong. In their inland port, they actually have a CBP port of entry there.

The whole process is also container-based. It doesn't remove all costs of the change, but it helps keep the costs down.
