Yes, it is. My kids always had a blast there, especially with the baboons and the reptiles.

Yeah just save up for it, you have to pay for those Pandas . I mean maybe it's just me but I think the ticket prices are overly high
adult $19, 3-11 is $14 and 55+ is $15

Depending on where you'll be staying there is a place called Noahs Ark down in Locast Grove GA and they have over 1000 animals and it's free.

Welcome to Zoo Atlanta

The Atlanta Zoo is really pretty nice. It is not too big but it is well-planned and has some nice habitats. A great way to spend three hours. It is also near Grant Park, which is a pretty nice place in its own right.

If you time it for a sunny day with temps in the mid-50s, you stand the best chance of the animals being out and about to get some good photos. They tend to start sleeping/lounging around once the temps hit the mid-70s or on real dreary/cloudy days.

There are all sorts of coupons for Atlanta Zoo tickets on the internet. I receive some of them in mail too.

Also if you are planning to hit other attractions, Atlanta has something called CityPass using which you can pick 6 attractions.

Keep an eye on Half Off Depot :: Half Off Depot :: Why live life at full price? (http://halfoffdepot.com/atlanta/all-products - broken link). Zoo Atlanta does post discount coupons on that site. Looks like they're sold out right now, but they will probably post more by then. Also, you might find some other coupons you can use as well.

The lemurs are fantastic. They scream a lot and "stink fight."
