Just found that my wife is pregnant. We currently live in buckhead. and were planning to move to johns creek this winter. now that we have found that she is pregnant. we r reconsidering our decision and not restrict ourselves to johns creek area. However I have heard good things about emory johns creek.
If we stay here we have northside and atlanta medical as two choices.
This is our second pregnancy. first we loved but that was not in atlanta. Just like everyone we wouldn't like to be treated as a number.
Any recommendation of hospital, obgyn would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Emory Midtown, Piedmont and Northside all have excellent maternity programs and top notch neonatal support. Between these, the choice of the doctor (practice) is more important than the choice of the hospital. I have friends who have had children at all of those hospitals both regular and high risk and have heard good reports. Emory John's Creek has a good program which is growing rapidly and is a priority for the hospital. Unless your wife is very high risk, it could be a good choice too.

Do you know that Northside accounts for 75% of atlanta baby born? As a result, it has the best emergency care.

Had a baby at Emory JC last year. Labor room was large, smaller post partum room. Nurses were nice enough. Out of 10 I'd give it a solid 8 I think. I really chose it because it wasn't too large a hospital and it was really close to home. Have you thought about also looking into Northside Forsyth in Cumming? It's just a little more up 400, and some of the local JC OB/GYNs deliver at both hospitals. I had a friend who delivered there after me and it's newer and shiner

Oh and congrats!
