The development in this district (much of it sparked by Suntrust stadium) and county planned transportation improvements are massive.

County Commissioners approved funding for the multi-use bridge over 285.
Cobb County approves design of I-285 bridge to SunTrust Park | www.ajc.com
The Cumberland Community Improvement District, a business district in the area, has agreed to pay $5 million toward the construction costs. The county will use Federal Transit Administration funds will cover $4 million; the Braves are contributing $380,000.
Not sure how they think this bridge will only cost $9.8M

These fools should just scrap the idea and commit to a project that rebuilds the 41/285 interchange to better accommodate both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It might take a DDI to do this, but there is no way it could be planned, designed, and built by Opening Day 2017.
