yeah, that list is whack. Santiago, Chile? I've been to Santiago and I would never classify it as a party town or anywhere to go for New Years Eve.

That list seems rather random, I wouldn't put much stock in it.

With that said, this is a great town for New Years. From the Peach Drop to the parties, this city really comes alive for New Years Eve.

The caveat (which I see is explained better when I go directly to the kayak.com website) is that the list measures "increase in interest", based on internet searches.

COA still Own's the Peach. (Its probably off in some storage building),

With the Sale of underground Atlanta it probably won't happen this year. But it will be back

Lists are often just someone's opinions, and many of them are made to get attention. This one is obviously one of those, listing cities that you would hardly ever think of for New Year's. That said, I came to Atlanta one year a long time ago and had a great time.

Supposedly, this one is based on number of searches at the travel site, Kayak.com.

So I can set up a search BOT to generate searches for Barrow Alaska, over New Years Eve time period and with few thousand BOT searches hit with random IP addresses, I can have the world beat a path to Barrrow on the one or two flights a day that go there....
