Carolina literally had the easiest schedule that year, While the Falcons literally had the hardest this year.

Unless something drastically change in the NFC and the NFC south. I think Atlanta still will be a top 3 NFC team next year.

I'm actually okay with the rules, though I think perhaps they should change it in the playoffs, as so much is on the line, where the other team actually gets a shot.

Or, just play out the full 15 minutes of it. Or make it a 5-minute OT, or something like that. Current OT rules are terrible.
I agree with you 100% on that, but lets face it, had Atlanta just could have mustered up a measly field goal, the conversation would be much different. Seem to me like the defense let up in that last quarter as well, like they took their foot off the gas. But getting nothing out of that onside kick that was pretty much near field goal range, prove to be a devastating mistake. That was a horrendous loss for any team on a stage like the Super Bowl. I just hope they don't let the effects of such a tough loss carry into the next season, or perhaps they will have something to prove.

Well our defense was on the field practically the whole game, they got worn down by the 4th quarter.

They relaxed in the beginning of the 3rd quarter. It wasn't fatigue then. They just thought they had it won and lost focus.

Yeah, I think he missed the Millennium Falcon when it left him behind on Tatooine. May the force be with him.

I wonder if time will heal this, for us lifelong Falcons fans. Even if we win the Super Bowl next year, even if it's against the Patriots, yesterday will still hurt. Right now it feels like we could win the next 5 Super Bowls, and that freaking game will still hurt. That was just horrible.

I think I'm ready to take a long break from following sports, honestly. That game just really, really got to me. Craziness.
