Hello,

I currently live in Tucker, GA but may have to relocate to Atlanta because of a job opportunity. I'm 28 years old, single, with no kids. I'm looking to rent a one bedroom apartment, with a budget between $800-$850 per month. I'd like to live in a diverse area that offers entertainment and a nightlife. What areas do you suggest? I've only been living in Georgia for a month, so I'm pretty clueless. Any input with be appreciated! Thank you!

Apparently, a Home Depot refrigerator box is what you can only afford. The only problem is where to park your shopping cart.

I ain't gettin no good feeling for Atlanta.

Well, that was helpful.

To the OP: If you're open to older (mid-20's to 60's) apartment buildings, you have a shot. It's true that rents are rising quicly intown, but here are some suggestions:

Kenco specializes in these types of properties, and keep tghem updated and well-maintained.

Braden-Feldman specializes in older apartments as well.

Best of luck.

I'd recommend commuting to the new job from whatever situation you are already in if it is acceptable to you.

You ain't getting anything good in the city for that budget.

Contacting promove is not a solution for an unrealistic budget. In fact since they mainly deal with the larger complexes you are not going to get a bargain and will have to pay the going rate. The going rate for a one bedroom in safe diverse intown areas with nightlife is not 800/mo.

Check Buford Hwy. It not diverse, its mostly Mexicans but most of the apartments are safe and you are close to the city. Also check off Clairmont Dr between 85 and Buford Hwy. Actually its plenty of apartments in that area for that amount but like I said contact Promove and they will help you narrow it down
