I recently went to SF 3.5 weeks ago!!! That is a very progressive city! What blew me out the water was all the public transportation options they have, but the fact that the city made busses and trolleys Electric or Hybrid YEARS ago!

Cities are just now catching on to this. It seems like EVERYWHERE I went, I noticed receptacles for trash, plastics and paper. I mean these things are so miniscule, but to me, when a city can make decisions to solve or make steps to change the future that is true intelligence and innovation. The mindset of people is pretty open minded too. Huge plus!

Boston on the other hand, They may have Harvard and all the other educational prestige but the people I came in contact with were CLOSE MINDED! Esp to minorities.... (Whole different story).......

And How did Durham get #4.... LOL

I've seen this type before. They tend to pride themselves on being 'so cultured.' They can be very hypocritical.

Well they do have Duke and NCCU in the city limits and UNC and NC State close by.

Trenton itself is a hopeless ghetto, incredibly impoverished and violent despite being the state capital. No way it should be compared to a metro area of 5 million like Atlanta.

Savannah was ranked 74th and Augusta was 121st. I'm guessing Columbus and Macon were just too small to make the list as I don't see them on there.

Most of RTP is located within Durham County, and as was stated, it does have Duke and NC Central.
