I'm obsessed with the Pawpaw tree (Asimina triloba). Unfortunately, even the grafted ones take at least five years to fruit, so my little trees have a ways to go before they bear. The season for Pawpaw fruit should just be beginning in this area. Does anyone know of any farmers markets which have had them in the past? They don't store well, so they are all but impossible to find. At this point, I'd even hike the woods to round up some wild ones. Anyone willing to share their favorite pawpaw patch location?

The next best thing is buying frozen pulp online, but that just doesn't seem to be as good an option.

I'm willing to travel up to one hour from 30080.
