Emory is usually ranked a few spots above Tech in most general rankings...USA Today normally has Emory around 17 and Tech around 30 or so.

I still don't understand the idea of one school being better than another. Tech certainly offers courses and has the professors to teach them that few other schools can. But that's about it. Tech professors don't care about teaching because their careers depend on their research and winning grants. Emory is a private school and might care more about teaching as the students are the reason the school exists. Tech can count on money from the state.
