Well, if you didn't go to the meeting here are the materials from the big pow-wow a couple of weeks ago.

Looking through to the plans, they don't even show the new stadium. How old are these plans??

Was also looking at the interactive map, and someone posted that the Piedmont/Pine intersection has no traffic or pedestrian signals. It has both and has for at least ten years.

Saw that the original poster commented to say he meant the Piedmont/Renaissance intersection.

The same poster (most likely) also asked for a traffic signal at Piedmont/Linden. That would be four traffic signals in 1/4 mile. A little much in my opinion.

That poster was me. The spacing of those lights shouldn't be a problem as long as they're properly synced with each other.

This is Atlanta. That's a BIG "as long as". Atlanta's version of syncing lights is to have the second light turn red as soon as the first light turns green.

And yes, they would work as long as Piedmont stays one way. Syncing lights along two-way roads with different spacing is a challenge.

This was a thought provoking survey.

I liked the questions: "What types of development or activity would you most like to see more of Downtown?" and "What would encourage you to visit Downtown more frequently or consider relocating to live Downtown?"
