I highly recommend you check out Mill Springs Academy! They are in Milton but have students from all over the Metro Atlanta area and do have bus service. What I love about the school is the culture. I see students come Woodward and other schools where they have been bullied and within a day their lives are transformed You have to see the community to believe it.

Your son sounds like mine and is around the same age. My son has been in a few different privates and we're switching again this year. My thoughts are that middle school is usually horrendous no matter what and we need to get him through those years in the most nurturing place possible...we'll regroup for high school and figure it out then. We are looking at Paideia, The Children's School and The Friends School. After visiting all 3, my son loved The Friends School and that is his top choice. It has a VERY small middle school with lots of individual attention...it's also full of "quirky" kids. Just kind of a unique place....you might want to check it out and see if it could be a fit at least for middle school.

Thanks! I will certainly look into Friends school. Tallulah Falls sounds intriguing but I prefer not to board. Whitefield is too religious for us.

That sounds like a great place but is too far for us. I will keep it in mind though and check out the bus service--that is a huge help. Thank you.
