Overall, that looks pretty disappointing to me. I had hoped that they would try to preserve as much of the mid-century charms as possible. Sadly, it looks like they are going head long with a "modernized" project. "Modern" being as much glass and bling as possible to full BuckheadAtlanta mode. It looks like they are going to "bling" up the streetfront of the towers. I do like the central courtyard where the "mall" used to be. Only time will tell what will be left when finished though. It's such a shame that the condo building is hidden from view from the main street as it's the most appealing building of the bunch.

Looks like the entrace to the parking remains in front. Too bad.

What, the ugly stories of white cheese grater/federal prison building that sits on top isn't enough mid-century charm for ya?

Looks cool to me. Im more concerned with more entertainment being added to Midtown verses the looks of it

I see plenty of weird flared columns in the renderings; they've just added some glass boxes of retail around the perimeter of some of the buildings. Should make for an interesting architectural element where they're now on the interior of the building.

According to the Curbed article, "the Peachtree Street driveway will be removed in favor of on-street parking, and other access points to the site will be enhanced." It seems like the ramp to the garage is staying, but the on-street parking is actually what's being removed. http://atlanta.curbed.com/2017/1/12/...wer-renovation

So they're taking out the mall? That's disappointing

The long-discussed reimagining of Midtown’s pioneering but aged Colony Square cleared a permitting hurdle in recent days and is still on track to celebrate a significant anniversary next summer with scissored ribbons, officials tell Curbed Atlanta.
