My niece's birthday is this weekend, and my mom and I are looking for a Disney themed birthday sheet cake for this Saturday. My niece's stepmother was going to get it from Walmart....THE HORROR!! LOL. So anyway, just wondering if any of you guys knew of a bakery in the Atlanta metro the makes really good, from scratch cakes. Thanks!

The Cake Hag in Glenwood Park makes very good cakes from scratch. I'd check them out.

Honestly, if you are looking for a Disney-themed, sheet cake for kids; you can't go wrong with Publix. The stores make the buttercream icing from scratch, but the cake part is shipped frozen from a factory in Suwanee (https://goo.gl/maps/s9tcappVzd82), so it's not too far from being fresh baked.

Publix does actually have very good cakes.

You could try Cake Affairs, Rhodes Bakery or Henri's Bakery although I usually don't think of them for kid's cakes.

Publix is the correct answer. They have really good cakes.

You can go to a specialty store, Piece of Cake, or any of the ones listed below ....but not sure how many do custom jobs. I'd call them.

We always do Publix. Unless its my bday. Then we do ice cream pie from Greenwoods or Fudge Pie from Dardens Delight which has to be more addictive than any drug on the planet. https://dardensdelights.com/

Kids aren't going to care the difference between Publix sheet cake and a locally-owned bakery.

We have probably purchased 30 birthday cakes from Publix over the years. The kids and their friends have always loved them!!!

Ditto with Publix.. we have gotten many sheet cakes there and have always been very happy.... They can do all of the most popular kids themed cakes like Disney, Super Heros etc. The latest one we got was a Wonder Woman cake for nieces Bday.. It looked incredible... seemed a shame to eat it, but it was good.
