It's easy to make that sort of decision when it isn't the company's money on the line... Georgia citizens have been paying fire this for years already.

Now GAPower wants to throw good money after bad. The PSC is their lapdog.

Good, now if the TV can just bring Bellefonte online. I wish this country could go 100% nuclear.

The PCS should cut their earnings % down until the plant is complete. Southern is to blame here they ran the project & didn't manage the project and subject matter experts onsight to oversee the onsite contractors.

I wish this country could go 100% renewable (solar, wind etc.).

Solar is getting closer and closer to financial viability.

I'm down with solar/wind/hydro also, but nuclear just simply produces a lot more power.

Those are fine as supplements to nuclear.

Really the main thing is we need to completely stop burning fossils as our source of energy and fuel. For a lot of reasons. One of them being that there's only so much of it before we run out.

Technically uranium is a finite resource, but it would take a long time before we run out.

Plus, there's always thorium, which is super abundant (and produces less waste):

Would wind even really work in Georgia? Because well...it doesn't exactly seem windy. The cost of solar is falling. I think nuclear is the best option (lol the nuclear option) for now.

This. Or successfully develop nuclear fusion.
