Top 10 in GA is not as impressive as many other states. Georgia is overall a violent state compared to national average.

Yeah, most of the Georgia cites are not up to the safest cities on national level (which should be the top 25th percentile in US). Only the three cities actually can be called as nationally safest:

Peachtree City (Top 5th percentile)
Johns Creek (Top 10th percentile)
Milton (Top 25th percentile)

I wonder if Georgia would have many more cities in the top percentiles if a lot of our various unincorporated areas were actually incorporated cities/towns.

Think about it:

1. East Cobb
2. West Cobb
3. Most of Eastern and Southeastern Coweta
3. South Fayetteville/Whitewater/Starr's Mill
4. Union Grove
5. Ola
6. Most of Towne Lake
7. Hickory Flat
8. The Alexander High District of Douglas County
9. Parkview-Brookwood
7. Most of the Mill Creek High District
8. Sharon Springs (in South Forsyth)
9. Vickery Creek/Drew (in West/South Forsyth)
10. Matt (in North Forysth)
11. North Paulding
12. Noonday Creek Area (North Cobb)
13. The Northgate High District of Coweta County
And so on...

I don't know, but I can tell you what I do know. This list is a crock of poop. Columbus, Savannah, and especially Albany are anything but safe. In fact, I want to know when the heck has ANYONE EVER considered Albany or Columbus to be safe?

Why is there nothing outside metro ATL? I guess towns with lower populations just don't have their data out there.

This is meaningless info, because most of the north suburbs are not incorporated in cities. If Vinings were a city, it would be very low crime, ranked near the top of this list despite being ITP. Especially if the Cumberland area was not included in it.

And why are the cities of Berkeley Lake, or Mountain Park (tiny city in N Fulton) not on this list? Not big enough to count?

It's not meaningless when people who buy houses look to such rankings when making real estate decisions.
