Hi Friends,

I am moving to Atlanta Area, My office will be in Buckhead.

I am looking for some nice apartments/communities which are close to Bukhead city and have good elementary school as my son will be going to 1st grade.

Please suggest which cities and communities I should target to live.

Thanks,
Sam

If you're looking for an apartment strictly within the Buckhead district, I don't think you really have to worry about elementary schools. They're all well-regarded.

I would rank them as follows:

Morris Brandon
Sarah Smith
Warren Jackson
E. Rivers
Garden Hills

You might also consider the nearby neighborhoods of Morningside and Virginia-Highland. Morningside, Springdale Park and Mary Lin Elementary Schools also enjoy good reputations.

Thanks Iconographer for reply.

I looked at communities which cover these school and they seems to be having high rent.

Considering Buckhead expensive city, I am fine with 10-15 miles distance from buckhead also where I can get good elementary school.

Can you suggest something which is less expensive area and had good elementary school..I can drive for 10-15 miles for office.

Thanks.

It would help if you gave us a budget and some other salient factors.

I am looking for 2 Bed/2Bath apartment and my budget is $1300-$1400.

So Good elementary school with $1300-$1400 apartment is my priority and with in 10-15 miles range of Buckhead.

With that if we have some kids activity near by like Martial Arts, Swimming, Pre-School....that will be good to add.

Thanks

You might look for an apartment feeding Oak Grove ES in DeKalb County. I think there are a number of options. Fernbank ES in DeKalb is also good, but I don't think there are as many apartment options.

Oak Grove is a good suggestion.
There are also apartments along the Briarcliff corridor between North Druid Hills and Clairmont Rds. that are served by Sagamore Elementary, which is also quite good.

Iconographer is right--Sagamore Hills Elementary is good and there are a lot of apartments nearby. Madison Druid Hills complex is also one to look at.
