Thanks for making a new thread Mod.

I'm disappointed in Atlanta for making this decision. I feel that it only could have turned out this way if voters weren't paying attention. Watching any of the debates, it was clear the Bottoms really doesn't have much of a plan to improve things in the city. Only nebulous political speak comments that pay lip service to reform or improvement, but have no actual content behind them.

The Bottoms Administration will be nothing but the status quo. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's just disappointing to see that a hollow shell of a politician was elected for no good reason.

Atlanta, we have a race problem. Both parties are GUILTY. LGBT I thought you guys were going to fix all this? Im disappointed.

Is the result definite?

I thought they were still waiting on absentee and provisional ballots and that recounts are typical when the difference is less than 1%. There was also something about whether a couple of precincts in DeKalb had been counted.

The majority of the progressive vote went to noorwood. I’d say there is segregation within the Democratic Party. But of course that segregation doesn’t always have to do with race. If there was an AA progressive, I’m confident east Atlanta would have voted for him or her.

I'm not sure why people are upset when only around 90,000 people voted. That surely does not sound like a race but laziness problem. Quite simply, people will no longer be able to hide behind the irrational self interest of both parties, but will be require to make a choice for themselves regardless of party affiliation.
