A new development for small businesses and startups will be constructed at Atlanta’s westernmost MARTA station, officials announced this week.

Fourteen repurposed shipping containers will provide about 6,500 square feet of affordable retail and office space at H.E. Holmes MARTA Station, according to a press release. Mayor Kasim Reed, Invest Atlanta and MARTA presented The iVillage at MLK project at the MARTA station Monday.
The venture is part of a larger effort to transform Westside neighborhoods. Last year, Atlanta was awarded a $10 million federal grant to help improve the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive corridor.

I have known this area since it was call Hightower Marta Station. What I find interesting is the amount of Latinos that are moving and live in those older apartments in the area. I hope they have businesses that cater to the Latino culture also.

You and me both.

I know many cities are on a mission to attract as many Millennials as possible. I also think there are a lot of people out there ready to use Millennial buzzwords to sell not necessarily sustainable projects to take advantage and profit off trends. I think this project is likely one of those

Interesting. Which school districts are receiving a lot of the Latinos?

Thanks. Do you know the elementary schools? Specifically, for the apartment complexes mentioned above?

Yes, I know that--thanks.

I guess my question should be...which apartment complexes specifically? (Then that's when the maps become helpful)

Yes, from the map we can see the dividing line is immediately north of the North Lot. Are they referring to Allen Temple Apts?
