Good ways to sell stuff in the ATL?

Randomly passing by here ... we downsized before our 2016 long distance move and sold more than $10K of stuff on Craigslist. Great variety including some of your items arjay57: musical instruments, shop tools. I thought Craigslist was fine. For certain more specialized items I used eBay, which was successful also, but there's a fee, and shipping can be a hassle.

My first few attempts were marred by dozens of scammers.

I have sold a few things on Nextdoor but a lot of things I post I don't get any hits on.

Several times I made deals with people, who failed to show up (despite me waiting a long time) and/or wanted to greatly reduce the agreed upon price because the ATM wouldn't work, they were low on gas, the rent suddenly had to be paid, etc.

OP why don't you try the Letgo app. I know my wife has used it to sell everything from my old tv, Rock band set, car stereo equipment, stand for my racing wheel, cushion from my sleeper sofa, rug, furniture and even my water pik. It takes a few tries but you normally can find someone and we get close to asking price most of the time. Sometimes you will have to drive to the customer's area.
