We mite be locating to GA by summer. We'll need to be near the airport. Can anyone suggest a safe, family friendly area with top notch schools? We are looking to spend up to $350K on a home. I kinda like Peachtree City; would like to hear more on Alpharetta and other good areas.

Alpharetta is too far away from the airport. I'd stick with Peachtree City. If you want more diversity you need to look in the city. Some places in the city that are good for families are on MARTA rail lines so getting to the airport isn't a hassle. Check out City of Decatur (east), Candler Park, and Lake Claire, and Inman Park. Good schools, lots of families, lots of international families since many work in the Emory\CDC\GSU\GATech cluster. (I guess that's two different clusters but they're close together).

There are many options for you based on your criteria, but Peachtree City sounds like a great place to start...the residents of PC that post on here sound positively euphoric about life there.
