NYC doesn’t want Amazon. Just announced that Amazon is pulling out.

Speak for yourselves.

Atlanta shouldn't lower itself to being the reject stalker boy/girl who's desparate to be picked.

Besides, they already said they'll just expand in Nashville and NoVA instead.

Forget Amazon. I don't feel bad that their BS blowing up in their face.

There's more to the story.

If the mayor and governor want you... who cares what a Congresswoman thinks? Federal incentives were never part of the plan.

But at what cost? How many arms and legs would we have to donate to get them here?

This great. Maybe cities and states will quit prostituting themselves for big corporations.

Admittedly I am also not exactly thrilled for Amazon moving in to Atlanta. Despite the jobs they bring they also wrecked Seattle's cost of living. The jobs they will be offering will unlikely to be offering more than $45k a year annually to the masses. And of course, they will bring more traffic and no solution in place to mitigate it...its not exactly as beautiful as it sounds having them in Atlanta.

They are not featuring this city. NoVA has the more reliable, growing, and extensive heavy rail network to cover their area better absorb the influx of new residents. Furthermore, MARTA struck this city out for its lack of reliability during the real estate scouts who were riding it experience the delays with the heavy rail system for themselves. Repair, expand, and better fund the MARTA rail network before trying to pursuing anything this size or scale.
