Or Fox Brothers and KSM and the Edgewood Shopping mall. Their parking lots always seem to be filled to the brim.
Because for many, using MARTA is much more cumbersome than just going and finding parking, since it covers only a fraction of ITP and almost nothing OTP.

Don't ask for free, easy parking in a popular local and tourist area.

Neither "free" nor "easy" appeared in my statement. But, suffice to say, there is plenty of free parking around Little Five.

That's not free parking. It's part of the cost of a $5 round trip Marta fare.

A) I was referring back to the OP.
B) Yes there is plenty of FREE parking, but many homes around do not have off-street parking, so the on-street is filled with residents (who do not have anymore right to those spaces than visitors) people are inherently lazy and will waste time looking for parking closest to their destination (we have been programmed by America's car-centric development to look for it) rather than parking a few blocks away and walk.

I used to have some luck finding on-street parking along Seminole. The last couple of times I've gone to L5P, though, I've found myself biting the bullet and paying for parking. That, or I've Uber'd in.

Come on, folks. We've got world class transit, use it.
There was so much talk of Marta that I finally took it one day to try it. Took me well over twice the time and just wasn’t a good experience. I won’t make that mistake again.

Isn't that just straight-up human nature? Isn't the reason pedestrians cross major roads not at crosswalks because they don't want to walk 100' to a crosswalk? This isn't a "car-centric driver" thing. It's human nature.

And isn't the very backbone of walkability to have things as close as possible so you aren't walking too far?

Just don't expect free, easy parking nearby. If you want nearby, you'll have to pay. If you want free, you'll have to walk. Price parking appropriately.
