That's a good description. Interestingly, a Whole Foods finally opened in my home town of Buffalo a while ago, and i heard it's not doing that well. I had a feeling it would have a tough time competing in a market where Wegmans is king.

We don't live near Perimeter Point, but I'm excited to have the possibility of Wegman's expanding to more locations.

Man, nothing brings out the old geezers like a new grocery store coming to town.

What retail is more important than a grocery store? This is huge for Perimeter.

I'm no old geezer and like more shopping options. There was a whole bash for the Whole Foods that opened in Midtown.

Not a geezer, but thanks.

Here’s a good, photo-heavy article showing why Wegmans rocks. Written by a millennial no less.

“Wegman’s is a fantasyland where all the produce is fresh, all the people are nice, everything is affordable, and all the products you could possibly want or need live together in kaleidoscopic harmony.”

So where do you shop for groceries, the tattoo parlor?

This is great! I have been hearing so much talk about the first location that just opened in Raleigh and was wondering when they would be expanding to the ATL. Can't wait.

There is so much migration from New York State and City to North Carolina and Raleigh in particular, that the head of the company said during a press conference in Raleigh where 5 stores are under construction, that he followed his customers.

Raleigh's 1st grand opening about a month ago set a new record with 3,000 people waiting for the store to open at 7am on a Sunday morning.

To ensure a smooth opening, they fly veteran employees to the new locations to greet to the new customer base.

They must be building a new distribution center between here and Raleigh so that means Charlotte will likely
get some stores also. I don't know if Raleigh is supplied by a Virginia distribution center or not, but there are several stores up there including in Charlottesville.

They are named America's best grocery store year after year.

I was just at the Beltline Kroger which is OK, but there's more emphasis on trying to be industrial and hip, that the grocery store seems like an afterthought.

Too much gray concrete, odd, cramped layout with narrow tall aisles, and of course you have to walk around the entire perimeter wall to get the staples like milk, but hipster juices and expensive beer and wine occupy the 2 full aisles at the entrance.

The self check outs don't have an extra shelf so it's ackward after you fill the 4 bags on the turntable. They are keeping track of the weight
.
