I tried the Atlanta Housing facebook group years ago when I was looking for a room or roommate and didn’t get any responses. Also if anybody has any tips on how not to get screwed out of renting a room from someone, please share. I have never done that before. I’m looking to move near the end of May and looking to spend $500-600 a month. Would like to not be too far from Forest Park where my job is

Maybe you could try posting a message on the Facebook page of the Atlanta chapter of the fan club of your favorite college and/or professional sports teams.
If you attended college, maybe you could also post a message on the Facebook page of the Atlanta chapter of that school’s alumni club, if applicable.
You could also check the real estate rental classified pages of some local news publications like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Creative Loafing Atlanta, Clayton News-Daily, etc., to see if you might be able to find any rooms for rent.
