My kitchen! Haha. Honestly, I have not found decent gumbo or jambalaya in town. But I am very particular. I have heard great things about a relatively new place in Inman Park called Parish (they have a web site). Haven't made it there yet, but it looks promising. There was a place that opened up briefly in Fairly Poplar (downtown) that had truly fantastic gumbo, but it only lasted a few month.

I concur - you can find either in my kitchen. I have yet to find one I like in a restaurant...but that's true of restaurants back home, too.

Let me know if you find it!

I'm originally from TX and have finally found a place here in Atlanta with GREAT GUMBO. In Alpharetta there's a new place off of windward parkway (Exit 11) called Logan Farms Honey Hams & Market Cafe. The seafood and sausage gumbos are GREAT as well as the Shrimp PoBoy. THey also have frozen cajun foods such as Andoillage Sausage and Boudin which you can purchase as well.
