I will soon be working about a mile east of the airport and need to find a place to live. After doing some research it seems that Riverdale, College Park, and Forest Park aren't the best citys in the world. Looking at all the crime rate and income statistics can be misleading though, i'm sure all these places have nice neighborhoods. Cities like Fayetteville and Stockbridge are about 15 miles away, I would guess that would be a pretty long commute. Could someone estime how long it would be, on averege. I would be getting a 1 bedroom apartment in the 600-800 range, maybe a little higher if needed. I'm 22, fresh out of college, no kids. Any and all advice is welcome.

There are some new, gated apartments located in Riverdale that are probably in your price range. I'm not sure of their name but if you were exiting I-75South at Tara Blvd look to your right and you will be able to see them. Living there would probably give you about a ~10 minute commute, if that. There are also some more new apartments farther south that you can see on your left from the freeway just past the Tara Blvd exit.

I'm not sure if you're into going out and all that, but if so, I'd look intown. It may be a bit harder to hit your price point but you'd be a lot closer to vibrant areas AND you'd have a reverse commute which would not be bad at all.
