"Over 30 industry partners, Tech colleges, schools and interdisciplinary research institutes have expressed interest in the HPCC. "

"Georgia Tech’s Board of Regents is currently reviewing the HPCC project. It could be approved as early as January, with construction completed by December 2017."

An update meeting for the High Performance Computing Center(HPCC) of Georgia Tech is scheduled on Tues Nov. 11 at Gatech Global Learning Center. Registration is free, parking is not I assumed.

Background info:

The HPCC is "a 24-story, 695,000 SF private and public development in conceptual planning, to be anchored by Georgia Tech and built and programmed around high performance computer modeling and simulation".

Details: GT | Real Estate Development

Good move. That Suntrust pissed me off when they put bars on their parking lot. That used to be my go to spot for free parking at Tech Square, lol. Might as well make better use of the space.

How has The Flex and Arby's avoided being swallowed up by Georgia Tech? Those properties have to be worth a fortune.

It's just a matter of time.

The Arby's is gone. It's becoming a Starbucks.

Are they taking out the adjacent B&N SBX? Haven't been by there in a few months.

B&N is still there though you have to wonder about the long range prospects for them remaing in their space given the national decline of the company.

Nope. It's going to remain. I suspect it will remain crowded with students and the walk-up crowd working in Tech Square, while the freestanding store will get a lot of drive-through business.

Being a university bookstore, that particular location probably does pretty well. It's got a mac store inside and does a ton of apparel and accessory sales. B&N might move out of the space due to continued national struggles, but I'd expect it to operate as it has been under a new name.

A gay sex club under the guise of something else. Alot of deviant things go on in the inside of that place. Glory holes, etc.
