Suggestion: Next time try drizzling balsamic vinegar (or better, balsamic creme/glaze) on the tomatoes/mozz instead of just olive oil. It's heavenly.

Oh, and I have to say, air conditioning was the best part of the day.

Hmmm... I'll have to skip the part of all my limbs and parts working (cause they don't), BUT... I DID wake up today!

Dogs let me sleep late without waking me to let them out to pee. Found a strawberry poptart I didn't know I had (wasn't green, so that was breakfast). Went up to Dahlonega with a friend and took some photos and ate out up there and stuff. So, not quite IN Atlanta, but North of it, and it was a good day.

As a Father's Day weekend present to myself, last night we took our son to stay with his grandmother in Marietta then we drove back down to home in Midtown for a nice child-free dinner at Cypress Pint & Plate. I had a nice time with good beer, good company and a surprisingly good shrimp po boy. Walking around that 5th Street/West Peachtree area was really cool too -- that's becoming such an attractive part of the city. I was happy to be in Atlanta.

This thread is succeeding in making me more hungry than proud (with the exception of Greg's pop-tart anecdote).

Planted fresh dill, basil and cucumbers for father's day...took pics of little kiddies with dirt all over their faces and saw a red tailed hawk devour a small something (hopefully not my neighbor's pet) in my yard. Now, headed to the pool with a fresh pitcher of lemonade. Ain't nothing like the south!

Guess it won't help to mention the devil's food cake with coconut chocolate frosting I'm baking for Father's Day?

Glad you have "discovered" the Buford Highway Farmer's Market. It is one of my favorites.

We had a very nice and special Father's Day celebration for my chef father at a Chinese restaurant on Buford Highway. Dad really enjoyed his meal (and so did we).

On the way home I stopped by a Vietnamese sandwich shop for banh mi's for dinner.

I love that Atlanta has such an International array of restaurants!

Just got to work and while I dislike what I'm doing I'm happy to have a job. But I hit the pool yesterday and then took in a movie and a nice dinner so it was a good weekend.
