I currently reside in Orlando, FL and pay $405 for a 2/1 in a very quiet apartment complex with lots of security. Being that I'm currently a student and also have a newer car and a Son, I don't want to pay much more for rent. I plan on relocating to Atlanta some time next year, and I'm looking for any suggestions on apartment complexes that are in that price range. They don't have to be in the best side of town being that it will only be temporary until I'm done with school, but I do need the apartment complex itself to be safe, quiet, and not known for home invasions or car robberies being that I do have a child. As for the inside of the apartments, as long as they are clean and don't have roaches, I will be content. So please throw me some names or good places to look into.

Thank you in advance!

It doesn't have to be a 2 bedroom, it can be a studio. I just want to get through college without a major rent increase. Where I live right now, I'm within minutes from a whole bunch of bull ( invasions etc..) but this complex itself is safe, clean and quiet. That's what I'm looking for, I don't mind the area or what's around the corner, just the actual place.

?

$400 and the projects? LOL

I lived next to Howell Mill Kroger for $600 (utilities and rent). A few crazy crackheads but I'm still alive.

A kid I knew had a whole basement in a Virginia Highlands $500,000 home for $300. You can find it, check Craigslist.

You won't get into a quiet apartment complex with lots of security for $400...I assume that security is a priority since there is a child involved.

Where will you be going to school? Location and proximity to work/school is a big consideration.

$600 is not bad with utilities. The $405 right now is without utilities, with them it's around the same.

It all depends... I want to finish at Georgia State, but I'm trying to avoid the out of state tuition, so I'm thinking GPC first but which one depends on where I move.

You'll want to live near whichever you choose...many people who move to Atlanta don't realize the importance of having a short commute. It makes A LOT of difference. First I would figure out which school, then I would find a place to live.

Georgia State is easily accessible on MARTA, so that is something to consider as well.
