Has anyone toured the W residences near Centennial yet? I was wondering what percentage of them were sold and whether they warranted the prices they are offered at.

I toured them while they were still under construction. In fact, their model had not been completed yet.

Sorry, I can't comment on the percentage sold.

They had a huge price reduction back in the summer. The place looks great but b/c of the economy and location they aren't doing too well. I haven't been there recently but it's safe to say they still have 70-75%(depending on how many those under contract are going to close) of the 74 units still on the market.

Fabulous building, marginal location. There has been a lot happening downtown near the park but it's still not a very desirable location when you have Midtown competing right up the street. I wouldn't buy there, and apparently a lot of other ppl have the same opinion.

Thanks for all the feedback. We went there last night, and the bars were pretty quiet--Saturday on a holiday weekend probably is not very crowded in general for hotels, though.

That's what I LOVE about this place :-).

Some peace & quiet in downtown ATL with 5 star accommodations and southern comfort inside the city! Also, lots of potential for the area in my opinion in the future for this area in general.

You should check it out when the pool is open in the summer

I'm not familiar with this project, and this thread was started 3 years ago, but I just read in the December Intown magazine that since relaunching their sales program, The Residences at W Atlanta- Downtown has sold 15 of its 74 homes. One and two BR homes start at $299,000.

I am familiar with the project...

Surprised they have sold the 15 at the price they are asking. You can buy at many places that are comparable for much less.

Hi Tony, what do you mean about the pool in the summer? Is it nice & quiet then too? :-)
