The other day, some tea party crazy or something was on the train ranting about if they can't run rail (MARTA was temporarily stuck), how they gonna run healthcare?

This morning, I had the hiccups and this low class piece of trash asked another guy with water bottles to give some to me so I would stop

Today, I was at Five Points waiting for the train. This lady behind me said on the phone, "she want a Gameboy Advance" ?!?!?!?1

LOL about the Gameboy Advance

This old Lady and young girl was arguing and I could see the old lady was getting mad but she wasnt getting fustrated. but when we got to her station, East Point, she got off the train held the door and Yelled out B*tch you gone respect me or I'm going to woop your *ss, the girl ran into the door and hit the door at full speed. I died that day when it happened.

I sometimes fine myself laughing at old people with CD's, the man with no tongue at Five Points when he be yelling and screaming trying to preach, and the man who ask me to give him some change on the Decatur/Marietta side of five points, then asked me to sell him some rock on the #74 at Five Points then again in the Walmart Parking Lot on Gresham Rd.

My favorite was years ago. Train stopped at one of the Stations and a 6'5" tall Tina Turner drag queen got on, full mini tassel dress and all, in a car filled with weekend tourists. Turned on a portable CD player and did a number.

You could tell who the locals were vs the tourists - the locals were laughing their butts off.. the tourists had a look of sheer terror on their faces.

There's that now famous people of walmart site that gets so much attention now. Maybe we need a "people of MARTA" site, too.

Almost forgot

I see too much crazy stuff by myself riding MARTA I could start my own. This morning I saw a real life hobo Santy Claus but I didn't want to start a riot so I withheld my camera lol...

This guy has been wandering around Downtown/The West End for years. I always wondered two things about him:

1.) How'd he lose his tongue? (Word on the street is that it was cut off in Vietnam during the war, but he looks too young to have fought.)

2.) What exactly he is trying to say. It could be crazy street preacher ramblings OR the cure for cancer OR the secret to life(42)

Seen him/her too. Wow, I sure do know a lot about the "street performers" that ride MARTA

I've been riding the trains/buses since '86 and in that 24 year span have seem more weird crap than I could ever list. The weirdest however was a guy who spat on the platform, slowly began to walk away, turned around, and shouted "YOU are the reason for all the problems in my life!" while pointing at his spit.

That is really scary. You never know what can come from folks like those so you just gotta be careful.

The MARTA Chronicles and other Atlanta Adventures

Found this blog, a focus on Atlanta with a few sprinkles of MARTA.

ADDED BY MODERTOR: Note, the link above will remain but make note the guy who runs it comes down hard on any and all in his way. It may be deemed offensive by folks, so it carries a "view at your own risk" warning now.

I've seen people sitting on the escaltor from the peachtree center. I've sat down once my first time getting on because I got dizzy.
