Georgia Governor-elect Brian Kemp and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms will be two of the three headline speakers at the annual luncheon of the powerful Buckhead Coalition on January 30, 2019.

Mayor Bottoms spoke at the Coalition's last annual luncheon in January 2018 shortly after being elected to office in November 2017.

The Buckhead Coalition's 2019 annual luncheon will take place about a couple of weeks after Brian Kemp is sworn-in as the 83rd Governor of Georgia.

Kemp's appearance at the Buckhead Coalition's annual luncheon will give him an opportunity to get very closely acquainted with major metro Atlanta business representatives after running a gubernatorial campaign that was geared almost exclusively at voters in rural and outer-exurban areas.

Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Rob Pitts will be the third headline speaker at the annual luncheon which will also celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the existence of the Buckhead Coalition.

The Coalition’s annual lunch meeting is the only time it has speakers, and is the only one of its meetings where individuals other than members are included (strictly through invitation only).

The Coalition's invitation list consists of local elected officials, news media management and heads of other nonprofits, and is believed to be the only such meeting in Atlanta that doesn’t sell tickets to the public.

Good. They can remind him that religious liberty laws will ruin the business community. One of the few times I'm GLAD for the power large corporations hold over our politicians.
