I thought the prices were way too high and like someone said earlier, you can not buy just chairs or just a table for many of the items....you have to buy the entire set. I don't think they will last. I saw one sofa that I liked, and it was $7000!!!! In this economy, people are not going to pay these kind of prices...with that said, I did see some interesting pieces, some great chairs, but it was $4000 for the table and chairs and they wouldn't split them up. I guess I was just looking more for some deals and didn't see any.

Have been here three times without buying a thing. Bedroom and dining room sets seemed to offer the best selection and price but not huge bargains.

Won't be back again.

Sounds like a place where you would "take a dump" if ya know what Im sayin hehe. Ive past by there a few times but heard from friends that it is no different price wise than other regular furniture type places.

Now that we have all dumped the Dump, does anyone have suggestions on places to buy furnishings? In particular I am looking for bar stools, dining room set and outdoor furniture.

Not the place to go if you like modern design. Mostly big overstuffed chairs and couches, and ornate, heavily carved tables/dressers etc. Pricing on dining sets seemed decent, But I didn't see anything there that really suited my style.

Seems like the "Dump" holds its name well. I'm glad you guys mentioned it. I can tell my wife we can skip it and go do something else next time she mentions it. (So far, I managed to ignore her or change the subject )

Has anyone had a problem with the current rebate cards? In July when you purchased you were to get a rebate card $10 for every $100 spent. Received my rebate card worth $220. Two days later I received a letter stating the card was sent to me in error. They are trying to replace a card worth $220 with a 10% discount coupon. Not very happy.

I have gone searching for furniture several times in Atlanta, and the search always brings me back to Macy's at Perimeter Mall...great furniture, great deals, great service. I particularly like working with Linda Neely; she's a holdover from the old Rich's days, and she is a real gem. If there is a deal to be had on the floor, she'll find it for you.

I live in Houston, I assume it's the same "The Dump".
I had seen TV commercials, like you, and never really gave the place much thought, I figured it was like Big Lots or something.
I finally dropped in just to have a look and was pleasantly surprised. They had a huge range of couches, and more floor/area rugs then I've seen in stores entirely devoted to rugs!
They also had tons of rustic furniture, but the best part is that it all seemed very solid, and well made. No particle wood that I could see.
If you're used to big chain furniture stores and sick to death of the boring "style" they push, give it a look. Assuming all Dumps are getting their goods from same distributor, I am betting you'll be surprised like I was.
