The rumor is Wet Willie's is opening in the CBD at 980 Broad street...
Wet Willies Drinks, Frozen Daiquiri Bar

The recent announcements in the urban core include a wide variety of businesses..
1. Sabre Systems opening a new office in the Enterprise Mill
2. Integrity Medical, Diablos Southwest Grill, etc new building under construction at 1022 Walton Way
3. Craft & Vine opened in February(the most trendy restaurant in the metro)
4. Sole(sushi restaurant coming to 1033 Broad)
5. Brown Bag Cafe(restaurant) opened in June
6. Sprint Food & Metro Market opening this month
7. Holiday Inn Express opened in March
8. Chick Fil A opening along Walton Way near 15th street

While Augusta might have to wait for the Mills campus or the GGHF site(bio tech park, student housing, retail) to begin construction in order to attract massive growth in the urban core..

I'm sure the Medical Commons under construction and future Cancer Center(should break ground this year)in the Medical District... Along with the GRU gateway project(grocery store, chic fil a, restaurants, hotel, etc) in the Medical District/Harrisburg and the CanalSide($11 million 4 story residential building at 1399 Walton Way) between the CBD/Medical District will bring more than enough growth for now..

Good location. I hope they remodel the outside of building with a new look not just a sign.

Since it's a national chain, I would imagine they have a certain "look" that they'll apply to it, much like Mellow Mushroom did/does. Would think it might be a popular place in the hot summer months around here. Now if they could only do away with those annoying sunken parking areas...

The Wet Willie's in Savannah is definitely more of a tourist trap compared to the one in Atlanta..
