Any idea as to finding a ride quickly from Valdosta to Augusta other than CL?

Thanks.

(P.S. My apologies if such posting breaks the etiquette)

It's $97 via Greyhound. You could try asking an Uber driver if he wants to do it and negotiate a price outside of the Uber platform, but I doubt anyone would do it for less. 430 miles round-trip is going to take about 9 hours and at least one tank of gas for the driver. If money is no object, and you can offer him $200 or more, he might take you up on it.

No idea about Greyhound. Google map suggests 215 miles, 221 N, it's about 4 hours and 17 minutes. Where I am, no Uber, maybe $130 something...

Don't forget, even if it is 215 miles for you, it is 430 for the driver. And 8 1/2 hours. I wouldn't do it for 130, but someone might.

Hmm, not sure why such a big discrepancy, this time I'm using exact departure address and arrival address, and google map offers the following info:
via 221 N, 217 miles, 4h 20 minutes.

But you're right, $180 to $200 would probably be a deal.

My point was: unless the driver is intending to stay in Augusta, he will need to turn around and drive all the way back to Valdosta, no? So you have to double his time and distance. However, if you can find someone else making the one-way trip, even better. That may be hard, though.

You're looking at $340+ for Uber (not that it's probably relevant at this point since it's a day later). If you were to actually use Uber, it's not your concern how they get back or how much time that takes them. The fare is the fare, and it's up to them to accept it or not. Makes no difference if it's 10 hours away or 30 minutes away.

Getting a ride from someone going in that direction would probably cut down cost quite a bit, not willing to spend $340. What a life! (I'm becoming sort of a "gypsy" now...). I'm actually open to moving straight north, north east or north west but not south. Not having a car and unwilling to spend a lot on travel, thus, such moving would be gradual.
