This was announced two and a half years ago and still hasn't moved. https://www.augustachronicle.com/new...or-development

The project was discussed two years ago. The article only mentions the developer buying the land, possible ideas, and working to get the property rezoned. The article mentioned no timeline, concrete plans, or anything.

The link clearly says it was submitted 1/15/2021 to planning and zoning. If the project was announced two and a half years ago then it would have been submitted back in 2018 and not 2021. And the developer has done land preparation.

My point being it has sat doing nothing for 2 years since it was purchased and discussed, so I'll believe it when I see it regarding 200 residential units coming to fruition.

It’s false to claim the property has sat doing nothing for 2 years. The article said it would take at least eight months for the developer to access historic tax credits. Some of the older buildings that couldn’t be saved were demolished. The developer has also done site preparation. Either way the mixed-use development is moving forward. It was submitted to begin major construction a month ago.

That area is not even South Augusta. Go troll on another post. Matter fact create a thread and you guys can all troll together. Here comes someone I’ve never seen on this forum with 9 post making a off topic comment.

Can the moderators delete these post? Nobody wants to read a bunch of trolling. It’s the main reason why I stopped posting on here and this forum only gets 1 post every few days. People don’t want to hear a bunch of trolls hijacking every positive thread. Augusta had more posts in their forum than Savannah did, but now Savannah has around 8,000 more. That clearly shows how people feel about the negative trolling.

Yea, same here, I've been a member of this forum for about a decade and Augusta has some really cool projects going on right now, but the trolling takes a toll
