I had read it in a Georgia Trend article awhile back. It talks about Augusta's relation with Fort Gordon and Augusta downtown resurgence. Hey Elvislive take a chill pill, it not that serious. As long as jobs are created its a win for the community. I personally think bringing people in from outside the area is a plus. All the big cities do it, why not Augusta? Why do you feel the need to talk tough and insult other cities on a forum?

The locals will benefit from those thousands of people buying movie tickets, shopping, eating at resturants, filling up their tank, purchasing homes/apartments in metro Augusta. Equals more tax revenue for the city.

What's wrong if they bring in some people from out of state. To Augusta to do some of the jobs. I see that as a good thing for the area. I want Augusta to be know as a new south city. Where there are people from all backgrounds, states, and races in one area.

Im sure some of those people will purchase a home/shop/dine out in your area Aiken. Which means more revenue for the city of Aiken.
