Does anyone see this happening along river watch parkway anytime in the near future? I think this would add greatly to the size and feel of downtown Augusta, What do yall think?

It'll happen when Saint Sebastian parkway is finished in July 2010.

I think that the economy will have to improve more over a few more years before we see and large residential construction anywhere around. I think we'd be more likely to see something go up within the next 10 years but not within the next few years. And just because they're extending a road doesn't mean we'll see instant development. But Augusta does have a lot of underused land in downtown that are prime locations for construction. I think that area around Jones Street around 15th street will see redevelopment, but not immediately, I'd say we'll have to wait at least 5 years, the recent TEE Center/Hyatt/Inner-City deal will probably spark the growth of downtown.
