I can start it again if you want.

I think you need to ask Hyatt executives, the Salvation Army, SC/GA DOT, Apple executives, etc.

It wont last. Nothing last in Augusta very long. The Promenade already has stores closing there. Nobody goes there anymore.

This entire post is a bunch of bull. There isn't ONE store that has closed in the promenade. The promenade section of the mall is packed everyday. That's why Portrait Innovations and As Seen on Tv etc just opened in November-December 2009.

When I was there last week, I saw signs on the front door of The Walking Company saying the store is closing.

That's news to me, but it's probably because the entire company filed for bankruptcy in December and closed 90 of it's 210 stores immediately, and just recently announced it is closing 40 more stores.

That's not Augusta's fault, just like it's not our fault the Goody's, CompUSA, and Circuit City closed, the companies as a whole went bankrupt, that has nothing to do with the city.

That is true. Par4him makes it look like the whole mall is closing. By the way, The Walking Company is also closing their town center store up the road from you so I guess no one goes to the mall in Marietta GA anymore either. Also Augustas mall is allot nicer than Town Center or North Point anyway. You would have to drive all the way to the Mall of Georgia to find a mall in your area as nice. To go through the worst recession in many decades and only lose one store is amazing. I remember the Mall of Georgia lost many stores after the 2001 recession even though it was only 1 year old, all thought it has rebounded nicely.
