Our family will be moving (military) to Augusta at the beginning of July. I have been trying to research areas online to find the place to live. We will be renting a house.
My husband will be deploying in August so I will be living alone with my son for a year..needless to say, I'm a skeerdy cat when i have stay alone.
I'm looking for a safe, family oriented area, AND school (my son is 16 )that doesnt have all the drugs, gang bangers and violence.
So far I'm leaning toward Evans and Martinez, but does anyone know anything about Grovetown or the schools there?? There seem to be loads of houses listed for the Grovetown area, so I'm wondering if that area is nice as well?
Thanks for any advice you can share!!

Grovetown High just started their football program last year (or they were pretty new, can't remember). The Grovetown High football team (or half of the kids from the high) came from Harlem High, which isn't a very good school.
