My husband and I just moved to Austin (Lakeway area) and he has a muscle car he likes to drive. Does anyone know of a track or other place nearby where he could go - it's not possible to even go a couple of miles over the speed limit in Lakeway - we've noticed too many people getting tickets! Any local muscle car clubs? (We have a 99 Camaro).

Try going out to the old Albertson's parking lot at 290/71 (the Y) in oak hill...there is a gathering of muscle cars and older cars there on saturday nights...it's a good place to find others such as yourself

Not a problem, there is also a meet up north, but I'm not sure where exactly. I can find out for you.

The one up north meets in the Home Depot parking lot on 1431 on Saturdays in the evening.

Thanks! I knew it was up there somewhere. Anywhere north of the river is yankee territory to me!

I am a member of Austin Area Stangs, still relatively new but I'm learning. There is a forum on that site <<<<::--Austin Area Stangs--::>>>> and I'm pretty sure there are more like them out there, but I drive a Mustang, so....lol. Maybe they could get you pointed in the right direction.
Good luck!

That does not exist so yep, it would be something to be seen . The first year of the Camaro was 67 .

There are TONS of car clubs and shows all over the state. We have a 68 and a 69 Camaro and take them to a few of the shows by us in the Dallas area.
